It's possible my .htaccess is messed up or SEO, how would I check?
If it helps narrow it down I can confirm this is pretty much a default Joomla installation. The .htaccess is the htaccess.txt renamed to .htaccess with no modifications.
The SEO I have enabled "Search Engine Friendly URLs" in the Global Config as it's a prerequisite for URL Rewrite.
